I can’t believe I’m saying this, but 2020 is officially over – and I think we’re all quite happy about that. But despite the pandemic and the many challenges brought along with it, I can’t help but acknowledge the moments of beauty from this year.
The biggest one of which is that my business persevered. There was a lot of rescheduling and changes in plans, but I think navigating these challenges only made my business (and the wedding industry!) stronger. I can’t describe how amazing it was to witness couples completely change their wedding plans, only to transform them into something totally different, but totally beautiful. Shout out to my 2020 couples: you are incredible.
The weddings I did get to capture were emotional, magnificent and ones I will never forget – including a last minute elopement for two dear friends, some new favorite venues and epic vows in a hot air balloon!
It was because of this year that I got to work with people I never would have otherwise had a chance to meet. It was a joy to capture so many intimate weddings and to have more time for families and other portrait shoots.
Yes, a lot of plans were changed – but the ones that took their place were so incredibly meaningful. And I can’t wait for the ones to come, because those will mean so much more, too.
Thank you for following along! Please enjoy some of my favorite images from this year below.
