Brigid and Rick are simply a delight – and that was clear to me from their first email. Brigid reached out and told me all about their plans for a dreamy winter wedding in New Hampshire, and about how they are lovers of color, laughter, history and food. So they pretty much had me sold already.

Once we were booked for the big day, we started to plan their engagement session. These two had a crystal clear vision for their photos, which made me so excited! They decided they wanted to do something dressed up in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Their love of the city’s history and fact that they had many of their first dates together there made it the perfect location!

In terms of style, Brigid and Rick knew they wanted their photos to truly reflect their relationship – so they proposed the idea of strolling the historic streets of the seacoast, popping some champagne and getting ice cream from a shop downtown. I couldn’t agree fast enough!

From the beginning to the end of our session, we truly just had the best time together. We started at Prescott Park, then walked around downtown, grabbed a few treats at Izzy’s Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream and ended with some golden hour shots on the Portsmouth Memorial Bridge.

I just love being able to bring a couple’s vision to life while throwing in some of my own creative ideas, and Brigid and Rick’s engagement shoot was the perfect example of this. I seriously can’t wait for their February wedding! Until then, you can scroll down and explore some of the magical moments we captured during their session.
