Today’s post features one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever worked with! Suzanna and Joe are a dream duo. These high school sweethearts have been together for 13 years and are getting married NEXT weekend! So I thought it was only fitting to feature their engagement photos as we get ready to celebrate.
About the Couple
Suzanna and Joe met during freshman year of high school in band class! Since then they’ve been inseparable, going to college together at Plymouth State University and living together after graduating. They love the great indoors, with their favorite activities including reading, hanging out and watching Brooklyn 99!
Joe proposed on their trip to Disney World in front of Thunder Mountain Railroad. They love Disney and he knew it would be the perfect spot for this moment!
Fall Apple Orchard Engagement Photos
We decided to take Suzanna and Joe’s engagement photos at Carter Hill Orchard in Concord, New Hampshire. They knew they wanted a fall themed-engagement, and I knew Carter Hill had stunning mountain views that would be reminiscent of the views during our college days!
It wasn’t too busy for the beginning of the fall season, which was great! I made sure to grab some apple cider donuts from the farm stand before we started (they were SO good). We also had the BEST weather for our session! Walking through the apple rows with these two got me so excited for fall!
Suzanna and Joe were naturals in front of the camera – and this is a true testament to the genuine love they have for each other. While they were a bit nervous to start, within 5 minutes it was like I wasn’t even there! They just fell into these authentic, loving moments with each other and made my job too easy.
Planning Two Weddings
Joe and Suzanna plan to tie the knot officially next weekend at Riveredge Marina in Ashland, New Hampshire – a town over from where they attended college together! Their intimate ceremony is going to be a blast and I am so excited for it!
Next year they’ll celebrate with a larger wedding at Dell-Lea in Chichester, New Hampshire. One of the only good things about COVID is that I get to see and celebrate with some of my couples more than once!
