This snowy engagement session is what dreams are made of! Jonmichael and Vayda are the perfect pair and I had so much fun frolicking in the snow with them in the woods of Warner, New Hampshire.
About the Couple
JM and Vayda met four years ago working at 54 Below in New York City! Their co-workers were always trying to get them together and one night they finally got a drink and the rest was history. Since COVID hit, these two have traveled back to their homes in Virginia and New Hampshire, but they are no strangers to being long-distance.
While spending time together in New Hampshire earlier this year, JM proposed in his parents’ wooded backyard after playing a song he wrote for Vayda – so yes, he’s setting the bar high for everyone else planning to propose! For their engagement photos, we decided to recreate that special and private moment in the very same woods.

These two had the most natural chemistry together! From the moment we started shooting they couldn’t keep their eyes or hands off each other and they were smiling ear to ear. They toasted with some whiskey, showed off the wooden ring and box that JM made to propose before the real ring came in (which is so beautiful!) and even busted out the guitar to serenade Vayda again. It was such an amazing session!
