These have to be some of my favorite Boston elopement photos! After changing their initial plans, Lauren and Michael ultimately decided to have an intimate wedding day in Fenway at the Kelleher Rose Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

These two met on Hinge back in 2020! What started as a movie night led to a full weekend together! Michael later proposed to Lauren on White Horse Beach in Plymouth, MA. Read on to see how their love blossomed on their perfect Boston wedding day!

An Intimate Wedding in Fenway

At first, they had planned on a larger, yet still intimate wedding on Cape Cod. After some planning and thoughtful consideration, Lauren and Michael decided to switch gears and celebrate in a way that felt more true to them: just the two of them in their city of Boston, MA. They chose to have their ceremony at the James P. Kelleher Rose Garden in Fenway because it was close to their home in Allston, and to incorporate Jewish elements to honor Michael’s heritage.

We started by capturing their getting ready process (they prepared for the ceremony together!) at their home in Allston. At the end, Michael left so Lauren could put her dress on and they could have a first look together in their living room. It was such a touching moment!

We then headed to the James P. Kelleher Rose Garden in Fenway to meet their rabbi for their ceremony. While it was technically public with lots of people around, it still felt like an intimate moment. It was so special to see Jewish elements included like Michael’s kippah, the veil ceremony and the breaking of the glass!

About the Kelleher Rose Garden, Boston

The Kelleher Rose Garden is such a stunning venue. I highly recommend booking your wedding ceremony there in early June to get photos of it in peak bloom! We were so lucky to be surrounded by all the roses of many different colors. Plus, it’s super close to lots of bars and restaurants in the Fenway neighborhood if you want to keep the party going!

All things considered, it was a stunning day to get married in Boston. Lauren and Michael tied the knot and now have some Boston elopement photos in Fenway, one of their favorite neighborhoods, to remember it by.

Kind Words from the Couple

“As our photographer, Nina was invaluable to our elopement. We hired her for a much larger to-do, and when we inevitably had to pare it down to just us, she was flexible right down to the day-of and went with the swing of things. Both my husband (yay!) and I are anxious messes when it comes to events and details, and she steered us clear of melt downs (how do you tie a tie?!) and upsets (we forgot the sacramental wine!!). She accommodated our requested photo turn around time so we would have them ready for our after-party a couple weeks later. We *highly* recommend doing the engagement photo session, too! It gave us a great opportunity to get used to having our photos done, as well as build chemistry with Nina (super easy, btw). 10/10 would recommend to any and all looking for a fantastic photographer and editor at a great price – a bargain for timeless memories!”
