Cassie and Britney’s big day will go down as one of my favorite days as a wedding photographer. Why? Because they made their day truly their own, were the kindest individuals to work with and finally got the big celebration they deserved after COVID postponed their plans in 2020.
Cassie, Britney and I met at a Starbucks in 2019 and clicked immediately. We shared a love for cats, too many plants and planning a wedding with intention. When we finally got to work together for their engagement session, I knew we had made the right choice in choosing each other!
After postponing, their big day finally arrived in July of 2021. The two got ready with their separate wedding parties at The Common Man Inn & Spa and had an emotional first look at their venue – realizing they were wearing similar dresses! It was hilarious – and they were just so happy to see each other before the ceremony. (HIGHLY recommend doing a first look for this reason!)
After some portraits with family and their wedding party, their ceremony took place in the barn’s adjacent greenhouse on a perfect summer day. Being among all the greenery and in nature was the perfect expression of their relationship! And Cassie’s brother as the Flower Dude was a major highlight!
From cocktail hour to the reception, they danced all night with the ones they love most. Thank you, Cassie and Britney for your trust and friendship! I am so excited to see where marriage takes you next.
