Seaside Summer Wedding at OceanCliff Hotel Newport, Rhode Island

Carly and Gage had the most epic Newport wedding weekend at OceanCliff in Rhode Island!

These two have been together since 2013 when Gage transferred to Carly’s school in New Hampshire. It took some time to become “official” because he had to get over the fear of Carly’s dad being his lacrosse coach – but they haven’t looked back since. After attending separate colleges, they moved in together in 2019. In 2021, Gage proposed on their date night in Boston along the harbor!

They took many trips to Newport over the course of their relationship and knew that eventually, they would get married there. Thus, their perfect day at OceanCliff Hotel was born!

Wedding on the Ocean in Newport, RI

This was one of my only rain-free weddings of the season and it was such a breath of fresh air. We were outside for basically the whole day with plenty of time by the water in the perfect weather.

What I loved about this day was that everything could take place at OceanCliff – from getting ready all the way to their reception. No fussy travel! I also loved that we were right on the water in Newport. The vibe was classy, elegant and beautiful but still down to earth with a party atmosphere!

OceanCliff in Newport, Rhode Island has so much to offer for photo spots – it’s a photographer’s dream! We shot their getting ready photos in their respective hotel rooms before heading to the arch for their first look (SUCH a sweet moment!) Then we headed to the lawn for their portraits before their ceremony overlooking the view. Their cocktail hour was held outside too before moving into the ballroom for their reception.

My favorite parts of the day included Carly giving her bridesmaids gifts (all the tears), Gage watching her walk down the aisle (double tears) and having so much fun with their wedding party for photos!
